(Foreign & Hawaii Only) Phyto-Sanitary Certificates are required for foreign orders. Please check with your local Agriculture Dept. for your current requirements, Import Permit may be required. Import Permits that require a 5 minute chemical dip will incur an additional $50.00 fee. Quarantine Compliance Certificate required for Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Our Agricultural Commissioner has recently raised the price of the Phyto-Sanitary Certificate. These are required by almost all foreign countries. They base their price on travel time to and from the nursery (1.5 hours) and the time it takes to inspect and write the document. To offset the increase in Phyto cost, we recommend that you increase the size of your orders. Orders under $400.00 (plant total before shipping and phyto) are no longer cost effective and cannot be accepted. We truly regret this change but have no other choice. Any orders that require agricultural inspection can take up to 7 days to ship. New Phyto Costs:
PAYMENT TERMS
Check or money order with order, or C.O.D. - Visa and Mastercard. Statements
are normally mailed to delinquent accounts past due. Carrying charges
of 2% per month, 24% annually ($2.00minimum), are added automatically
to those accounts past due. In the event Tillandsia International
employs an attorney to collect any past due account, customer shall pay
any and all attorney's fees incurred.

It's easy to place your order. Most new buyers of Tillandsia are not familiar with the various species. Allow us to choose for you at the price points most attractive for your business. We will send you plants that are proven good sellers, including as many blooming plants as possible. You can rest assured that we will send you only our best plants, so you will sell them and order more! After a few orders you will be able to tell what species work best for you. One plant of each species will be tagged to insure proper indentification. We ship UPS Ground (CA, NV, AZ, OR, WA only), UPS 3rd Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS Next Day and Express Mail (Foreign Only). Just decide what you want your total to be (check our generous discounts) and simply pay the driver at time of delivery. We will choose the best way to send them if you don't have a preference.
We sell only quality Tillandsias. All our plants are grown in greenhouses which produce a more robust, healthier looking plant, as opposed to imported, shadehouse grown, or wild collected plants. There are still many dealers who sell wild collected plants at attractive prices. Don't be fooled by this "Jungle Junk". Many of these plants will die or are in too poor a condition to sell! Our inventory is the largest in North America. This assures you of timely delivery of the species you want. We stock all plants on our list! We offer fast service. In most cases, orders received by 10:00 A.M. will go out that day.

Why do we offer such generous discounts? Labor is one of
the greatest expenses in producing Tillandsia. A $150.00 order gathered from
greenhouse to greenhouse takes almost as much time as a $600.00 order. So,
order in large quantities and enjoy the discounts! A substantial size display
will draw greater attention and sales. Keep your display well stocked.
UPON RECEIVING YOUR ORDER
The most important factor in the success of your Tillandsia business is a thorough understanding of how to properly care for your plants. Many people think that they are just air plants and they take care of themselves, this could not be more wrong!!

and study our care instructions carefully (more than once if necessary).
When you receive your order, completely submerse the plants in water with
a few drops of vitamin B or superthrive (these products can be found at any
nursery) for approximately 10 minutes. Then place the plants in a well-ventilated
area where they can dry in no longer than 4 hours. Light should be bright
and filtered from April to November (no direct sun). November through March
the plants can take direct sunlight (northern hemisphere). Do not fertilize
your new plants for at least 3 weeks. Too much fertilizer and/or direct sunlight
at the wrong time of the year will burn your plants.
Although we ship only healthy, high quality plants, it is important to remember that they are not perfect (nor is any living thing). Minor leaf imperfections are normal; leaves that have imperfections or are broken can be safely trimmed away with sissors. It is also normal for Tillandsia to lose the bottom leaves when acclimating to their new environment. These leaves can be trimmed off along with long roots if you desire.
